Mercy Flight Night Comes To All Pro Stadium

Mercy Flight Night at Avon’s All Pro Freight Stadium brought special excitement for at the Lake Erie Crushers’ game Aug. 31! Families were able to take a free tour of the Mercy Life Flight helicopter after it landed outside the center field fence. Families then stopped at the Mercy booth inside the ballpark
for health screenings, giveaways and prizes.
Mercy Life Flight is a critical care transport network that provides both air and ground transportation of critically injured patients. For the past 32 years, this network has responded to the needs of patients in the Toledo and surrounding areas, and has partnered with local EMS services in the west shore to expand their critical care services to both urban and rural areas. The flight program operates out of 5 geographically located hangars that encompass a flight pattern of 200 miles from Southwest Ohio, up to Southeast Michigan and across Northwest to Northeast Ohio. Each helicopter is staffed with a
certified pilot, a critical care registered nurse, and a paramedic. The mobile life units are stationed in 6 strategically selected service areas to meet the needs of requesting facilities. Each unit is staffed with an
EMT, paramedic and a critical care registered nurse.
