St. John Medical Center’s ‘Got Talent!’

What to you say when you mix the healing arts with the performing arts?
You say this: “St. John Medical Center’s ‘Got Talent!'”
SJMC staged a fun American-idol style talent show last week as 15 contestant/employees took center stage within the hospital’s Terrace View Café. They performed a wide range of selections before a judges’ panel headed by Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough along with Patient liaison Paul Forthofer and Development Officer Michelle Debelak .
Five finalists advanced to the championship round to be held Nov. 16. At stake is a grand prize of a $1000 travel voucher!
“I know we have to choose a winner. But to me, you area all winners,” said Mayor Clough as the talented field was whittled down to the final five.
Hospital staffers crowded the cafeteria as performers launched into a catalogue of musical talents. Some stunning voices were heard, and even tap-dancing, flute playing and guitar strumming with vocals were added to the musical mix. Enthusiastic support from co-workers and hospital visitors came from the audience.
Stayed tuned as the grand prize winner will be crowned Nov. 16!
