On 03/19/2012, at 1913 hrs, an Avon resident reported while driving down Lake Rd. near Cahoon, three kids on bikes threw rocks at her car. There was no damage to the car. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the juveniles.
On 03/19/2012, at 2343 hrs, a Lake Rd. resident called to report two males were hanging out in her driveway. She told them to leave, so they ran across the street and hid behind a stone wall. Officers located the intoxicated males on walking down Lake Rd. near Porter Creek. After speaking with them it was obvious they were intoxicated. They were both taken into custody for DC-I. Once in custody, 22 yoa Robert Friswold became combative, and kicked the rear window out of a police cruiser. During his tantrum, the male ripped existing stitches out of his chin, and needed to be transported to SJWS hospital for treatment. Once at the hospital, the male took off running. A few minutes later, Westlake PD located the still combative male and took him into custody. Friswold was cited by BVPD for DC-I. Warrants have been requested for Criminal Damage, Menacing, and Resisting Arrest. He is facing additional charges in Westlake. He will face charges at RRMC. His 21 yoa friend was cited for DC-I, and will answer to that charge at RRMC.
On 03/20/2012, at 0310 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Wolf Rd. near Bassett Rd. for an equipment violation. After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected the 18 yoa male driver had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at RRMC. An 18 yoa female passenger had also been drinking. She was taken into custody and will face charges for Underage Consumption of Alcohol at RRMC. Another 18 yoa passenger had not been drinking, and made arrangements for a ride home.
On 03/21/2012, at 0047 hrs, a BVPD observed a vehicle park on the wrong side of Lake Forrest. After parking, the male driver exited the vehicle and started walking down the street. The officer approached the driver on the sidewalk to inquire about his suspicious activity. The 19 yoa driver admitted he was driving the car, and claimed he became nervous when he observed a police car. While speaking with the driver, the officer smelled the distinct odor of burnt marijuana, and based on the subjects behavior, believed the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at RRMC.
On 03/25/2012, at 0234 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Timber Lane at Tanglewood for a traffic violation. After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as result, the 40 yoa Virginia resident was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at RRMC.
On 03/25/2012, at 0013 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. at the county line for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle admitted that he had a suspended driver’s license. The officer detected the distinct odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. The driver also admitted he just finished smoking marijuana. When the officer ran the occupants information through the computer, it was discovered the driver had a suspended license, along with several active warrants. One of the passengers had given a false name. Once he was positively identified, it was learned he also had active warrants. The 29 yoa male driver was arrested and charged with DUS, possession of marijuana, and license plate light required. His 27 yoa brother was charged with Falsification and Open Container. They will both face charges at RRMC.
On 03/24/2012, at 0012 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Walker at Plymouth for a traffic violation. After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 44 yoa male was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at RRMC.
On 03/23/2012, at 2028 hrs, BVPD responded to the intersection of Clague Rd. and Wolf on the report of an MVA. As officers spoke to the at-fault driver, officers suspected he had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 38 yoa male was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at RRMC.
On 03/21/2012, at 0939 hrs, a Queenswood resident called to report his vehicle had been entered overnight. After taking inventory, the owner discovered $2,180 in property missing. Police are investigating.
