BVPD received a call from an employee at the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center on 1-12-
2013 at 0531 hours indicated the building had been broken into and money stolen. Cleveland
Metroparks Rangers were advised and responded to take a report.

On 01/09/2013, at 1717 hrs, BVPD was dispatched to the area of Kenilworth and East Oviatt on
the report of two teenage males flashing a green laser at passing motorists. The teens were
gone upon police arrival. On 1-12-2013, BVPD received a second similar complaint in the area
of Cahoon and Wolf. A juvenile male was located with the laser in the area of the skatepark.
The laser was confiscated and the male was released to his mother.

On 01/08/2013, at 2329 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Porter Creek.
After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected the driver was under the influence of
drugs. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 24 yoa male was arrested for
OVI. He will face charges at RRMC.

On 01/08/2013, at 1618 hrs, a Brook Lane resident reported his unlocked vehicle was entered
overnight. A Tupperware container of loose change was taken. Three other unlocked vehicles
on Roberta and Walmar were also entered. The only thing missing from those vehicles was a
pair of sunglasses. BVPD reminds residents to please lock car doors and remove any valuable
from your vehicles.

On 01/08/2013, at 1510 hrs, a Vineland resident called to report two individuals had just
entered the vacant house across the street. The individuals left prior to police arrival, but the
caller gave a vehicle description. Officers located the car and stopped it. The occupants were
hired by the bank to winterize the house and had permission to be at the residence.

On 01/07/2013, at 0032 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Wolf Rd. near Bradley.
While speaking with the 24 yoa male driver, the officer smelled the distinct odor of fresh
marijuana coming from the passenger compartment of the vehicle. A probable cause search
was conducted. The officer located a bag of marijuana inside the car. The driver was cited for
possession of marijuana, and sent on his way.

On 01/08/2013, at 0209 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped on vehicle on Bradley near Wolf for a
red light violation. After speaking with the 21 yoa driver and the 2 passengers, the officer
suspected they had all been drinking. As a result of field sobriety tests, a 20 yoa male
passenger was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol. He will face charges at RRMC.
