On 03/02/2013, at 2350 hrs, a Lincoln resident called to report a dark colored pickup truck was parked on Forest near West Ovaitt with its lights off, and there were people running from the vehicle up into yards. BVPD officers caught up with the vehicle on Lincoln. The driver and his children were playing a practical joke on a family friend by decorating his yard for his birthday with signs they had made. The driver was advised of the complaint.
On 02/28/2013, at 1315 hrs, a resident of Bradley Bay called BVPD to report some property was missing from her room. Police are investigating.
On 02/27/2013, at 0201 hrs, a resident report a suspicious vehicle parked on Marvis. It was occupied by four individuals. Officers responded and spoke with the occupants. They were dropping off a friend they had not seen in a while and were just talking. Officers sent them on their way.
On 02/26/2013, at 2348 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near the Avon Lake border for a traffic violation. After speaking with the 29 yoa female driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as result, the driver was arrested for OVI. She will face charges at RRMC.
On 02/26/2013, at 1756 hrs, BVPD officers responded to a Rexford address in an attempt to serve a felony theft warrant on a 21 yoa male resident. Upon arrival, the resident’s 23 yoa brother answered the door, and would not allow officers in the house. He had stepped outside to greet them, and locked the door behind him. Eventually, the mother came to the door and let officers in. They searched the house but did not locate the 21 yoa. She stated that her 21 yoa son had been home when officers arrived, but fled when he realized officers were at the house. The 23 yoa male was arrested for Obstruction of Justice. He will face charges at RRMC. The 21 yoa male is still at large.
