On 03/23/2013, at 0237 hours, a Bay Village Police Department officer stopped a vehicle on Pellett Dr. near Wolf Rd. for a traffic violation. After speaking to the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result the 43 yoa male was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.
On 03/23/2013, at 2329 hours, an officer stopped a vehicle on Bayview near Lake Rd. for a traffic violation. After speaking to the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 43 yoa male driver was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.
A resident on Lake Road reported on 3-23-2013 that there were about a dozen deer congregating in his neighbor’s back yard because the neighbors were feeding the deer. The responding officer was not able to view the violation and the resident suspected of feeding the deer were not home. The City has an ordinance (C.O. 505.33) which prohibits the feeding of deer on private or public property.
On 03/22/2013, at 1740 hours, BVPD received a call from a Bayfair Drive resident stating he was just assaultedand robbed by his girlfriend, who fled the scene barefoot. Officers learned that the 24 year old female arrived at the house and demanded money from the 37 year old victim. When he refused, she assaulted him and took $40. She then fled the scene. The victim was transported to St. John Medical Center for treatment. Officers were unable to locate the female and are continuing to investigate.
On 03/22/2013, at 2021 hours, a realtor called to report a house she was listing on West Oakland had been damaged. Two windows in the rear of the house had been shattered. The house was not entered.
On 03/18/2013, at 1750 hours, an Elmwood resident reported that someone had fraudulently charged almost $200.00 to his debit/credit card. Police are investigating.
