Bay Village Police Press Release 04/01/2013

On 03/31/2013, at 0322 hours, Bay Village Police received a call from a motorist who reported there was a male sleeping on the bridge on Wolf Rd. near Cahoon. Responding officers located an intoxicated 21 year old male sleeping on the bridge. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Intoxication. He will face charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.

On 03/29/2013, at 2243 hours, Bay Village Police responded to the intersection of Clague Rd. and Lake Rd. for a one car accident. Officers located the car teetering on one of the wooden barricades on the north side of Lake Rd. The driver was still in the vehicle attempting to drive off the barricade, but three of the car tires were not in contact with the ground. After speaking with the driver, officers suspected the driver had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the 63 year old male driver was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.

On 03/30/2013, at 1156 hours, a resident in the 27000 block of Osborn reported that her vehicle had been entered overnight. Nothing appeared to be missing. The Bay Village Police Department reminds residents to please lock their vehicles.

On 03/29/2013 at 1545 hours, a juvenile patron of the Bay Village Skate and Bike Park called Bay Village Police to report he was being threatened by another patron. Police responded and resolved the matter. The instigators were evicted from the park.

On 03/29/2013, at 1014 hours, Bay Village Police responded to Heinen’s on the report of a small child being left in a car in the parking lot while his mother shopped. Police located the owner and strongly advised her about the dangers of leaving a small child unattended in a vehicle.
