“Sacred Paws” with Captain Jack

“Sacred Paws – Experiencing the Unconditional Love of God through Canine-assisted Therapy,” a workshop led by Patricia Griswold and Captain Jack, a certified therapy dog, will be one of five Saturday workshops at an upcoming Christian Healing Conference. The conference, “Inviting God’s Presence,” will be held this year at Avon Lake Presbyterian Church, 32340 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, at 7 pm Friday evening and beginning at 8:30 am Saturday, April 26 and 27.

The other workshops to be held on Saturday are “Opening the Eyes of Our Hearts,” “Finding God in the Midst of Addiction,” “How Do You Experience God?” and “A Taste of Christian Listening.”

Hawley Todd, executive director of Episcopal healing ministries, spiritual director, author, and well known for his work in healing ministries, will be the keynote speaker on both Friday and Saturday.

Opportunities for individual healing prayer will be available anytime, but especially after the Friday Service, and the Saturday afternoon closing service of Holy Communion. A continental breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee, which is $20 before April 15 and $25 after.
