Low Vision Support Group through the Cleveland Low Vision Center

Westlake Village hosts the Low Vision Support Group through the Cleveland Low Vision Center.

This monthly meeting is open to all individuals with any type of vision loss or impairment. It is an excellent source of empathy and practical advice run by blind and visually impaired persons with the help of sighted volunteers. All are invited to share experiences, insights and the special camaraderie of those who have lost vision. Various speakers and community members are invited to present on an array of topics such as safety, overall health, technology advances and more. Group discussions are encouraged to share successes and struggles.

Closed Therapy 12 Step Meeting for people who think they have a gambling problem. This is a group meeting to find out if you are a compulsive gambler.

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Caregiver Support Groups are designed to provide emotional, educational, and social support for caregivers through regularly scheduled meetings. They help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems. The groups encourage caregivers to maintain their own personal, physical, and emotional health, as well as optimally care for the person with dementia. The Holistic Birth Options

This class will cover a variety of birthing options including an introduction to our “Holistic Birth Center” program, which will discuss the criteria for utilizing the birth center. We will share topics surrounding natural childbirth options, including the relaxing properties of hydrotherapy during labor & birth, aromatherapy, therapeutic use of music and relaxation techniques in an effort to achieve a satisfying birth experience. During the class you also be introduced to the unique services offered by a midwife and a doula. This class is open to anyone interested in exploring childbirth options. A tour of the Holistic Birth Center will complete the class. Class Cost is free.  Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
