Hosts Terry and Christina Spears (of Avon Lake Marco’s Pizza)  got involved because  Terry has non-hodgkin’s lymphoma, and they want to support the good works LLS does. They are looking for donations still for our silent auction and Chinese raffle

This is their 5th year involved with the Light the Night campaign.

“We got involved with this organization because it is near and dear to our hearts.  In January 2009 Terry Spears was diagnosed with Follicular Non- Hodgkin’s Lymphoma,” says Christina.

Terry and his wife, Christina, 4 year old daughter, Hailey, and 6 month old daughter, Jessica, are residents of Avon Lake. There is no cure for Terry’s  type of cancer.  The doctors treat it when it gets aggressive.  Terry went through one round of chemotherapy and received his last treatment in May 2009. In March of this year, Terry was told that his cancer is growing again.  The doctors are monitoring it and expect him to start chemotherapy again within a year.

Funds raised by the Light the Night  team will provide: Comprehensive, personalized assistance through their  Information, Resource CenterLife saving blood cancer research, Free educational materials and events for patients and their families, and Local programs such as Family Support Groups and First Connection, a peer-to-peer counseling program.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  All proceeds will go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society and are tax deductible.

Presale tickets are $20, includes food, bowling, shoe rental, door prizes, raffle and fun!!

Please contact Christina Spears for tickets at 440-653-9480 or christinaspears930@gmail.com
