Advantage Card No Help to OVI Suspect

A Bay Village Police Officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Road near Longbeach for a traffic violation on Sept. 2 at evening rush hour. After being asked for his driver’s license, the 42 year old male handed the officer a Giant Eagle Advantage Card. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at RRMC for OVI and other traffic offenses.

Late for Church?

On Sept. 6, at 11:46 PM, a BVPD officer was east bound on Lake Rd. when he had to brake quickly to avoid striking a vehicle that had been northbound on Longbeach before it failed to yield the Right of Way turning eastbound onto Lake Rd. After being stopped the 49 year old male told the officer that he was going to church. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI. He will face charges at RRMC for OVI and other traffic offenses.
