On Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 3:08 pm the Bay Village Police received a call that a 12 year old boy was approached by an adult male.

The boy, who is a Bay Middle School student, had just left the school and was on Cahoon Road when the male approached and began speaking with him.  The boy ran away yelling and was assisted by a friend’s mother who happened by.

Police quickly located the male involved in the Bay Village Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library.  The 55 year old male is familiar to Bay Village Police and has mental health issues which make his communication difficult to understand.  The male was advised about his behavior.

This male is not involved in the previous incidents reported in the beginning of October 2013 in which school children were approached by individuals in cars of varying descriptions. Those incidents remain under investigation.
