Dear Fellow Westshore Residents;
In less than 2 weeks on November 5, 2013, voters in the communities of Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Rocky River and Westlake will cast their vote for the Rocky River Municipal Clerk of Court. It has been a pleasure meeting many of you while campaigning the past 10 months. I have met so many wonderful people along this journey to serve as your Clerk of Court. I have gained and am humbled by the many endorsements along the way from many elected officials, civic leaders, community organizations, and almost every local union. I am now asking that you, my fellow neighbors and citizens of our great Westshore communities consider voting for me, Jeanne Gallagher, to be your next Clerk.
The communities that are served by the Rocky River Municipal Clerk of Court deserve better than the business as usual treatment. I have the proven, professional experience, necessary leadership and temperament to serve as your Clerk and effectively lead the office into the future.
Currently, I am serving as an Assistant Bailiff in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division. I have served and made a positive impact in the Court and have contributed favorable to make our courtroom more efficient and user friendly. I will do the same when you elect me to serve ALL of the Westshore cities. From my hands on experience, I truly understand the importance of the Clerk’s office.
Prior to my years at the Court, I represented hard working men and women in the textiles, linen and dry cleaning industry. For twenty-four years, I served union members at the Textile Processors, Service Trades, Health Care, Professional and Technical Employees Union giving deserving workers a voice. The membership trusted and elected me as their President/Secretary-Treasurer for four consecutive four-year terms. In this critical position, I maintained records and implemented electronic filing. I was responsible for managing a budget while collecting and dispersing funds. I have the skill set necessary and fiscal experience to be your Clerk of Rocky River Court.
I have been proudly serving the community in various capacities for many years, and look forward to continue doing so. My supportive husband Owen and I are residents of Rocky River. We have two wonderful daughters that attend Rocky River public schools.
I hope that you will support me in my desire to become YOUR next Clerk of Rocky River Court. I am a hard working, and trustworthy individual who believes in ethical values. I want to lead our municipal court into the future while utilizing proven best practices. My first order of business will be calling for an outside, independent evaluation of the Court. We need to maximize efficiencies in the Clerk’s office. I have the proven professional experience and the desire to make the Court a place for all to be proud of. I look forward to serving as your Clerk of Court.
