The tests show a student’s projected placement into language courses at The Ohio State University. It compares A total of 3,046 Level 3 students from 74 high schools throughout Ohio participated in the CAAP testing, along with OSU students in Level 1102 (third quarter) language classes.
The students were tested in four skill categories: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The vast majority of Westlake students placed in OSU’s level 3 classes and many placed in high level classes. The Westlake students were especially strong in the listening and reading categories.
“I am very proud of the hard work and determination our students diplay. The CAAP test is in line with the Ohio Department of Education’s standards and this is a good indication of how the students might do on the AP test,” Bendik said. “It also provides practice at level 3 for the AP test that most will be taking in 2 years.”
