St. Luke Church 5K Pilgrim Run and Michalko Mile to Benefit Catholic Education on Saturday, November 16

Runners of all ages will take to the streets of Lakewood bright and early on Saturday, November 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to raise money for Catholic education at the Ninth Annual 5K Pilgrim Run and Michalko Mile at Lakewood Park, 14532 Lake Avenue in Lakewood, Ohio.  A family-friendly affair, the event will feature both a one-mile youth run and 5K race which kick off at 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. respectively.   All proceeds will be used to supplement St. Luke Church’s parish school of religion program, as well as tuition for St. Luke parishioners who attend Lakewood Catholic Academy.  Race-day registration is $25 (individual) and $70 (family of four), or $20 and $60 in advance until Thursday, November 14 at 9 p.m.

Commencing and ending at Lakewood Park, the 5K route will encompass Lake Avenue and adjacent side streets.  The Michalko mile will loop around the park.  Awards will be presented to the top male and female runner overall, in addition to the top three individuals in various age categories.

Last year, the fundraiser raised more than $10,000 for Catholic education and attracted some 300 runners.
