In a very powerful and moving Veteran’s Day celebration on November 11th, 9 members of the North Ridgeville VFW came to honor 14 veteran heroes of Bradley Bay Health Center. After a brief description of the history of this solemn day, each veteran was given a certificate and pin, honoring their service in the branch of the military in which they served. The soldiers, dressed in their formal uniforms, then went outside to conclude the ceremony with a 21 gun salute and the playing of “Taps”. We thank our heroes and their families for the sacrifices they have made for all of us.
The 2 attached photos show the 21 gun salute in the Bradley Bay parking lot, and the pinning of resident Tom Walmsley by Paul McElhaney, Color Guard Captain and Vietnam Veteran.
