The Wound Care Center of University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center is the proud recipient of the Center of Distinction Award by Healogics, Inc., the world’s leading wound care management company. The center has achieved outstanding patient outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction rates greater than 98 percent; and a 98.5 percent healing rate within 28 median days to heal, among other quality outcomes. This is the third Center of Distinction Award the facility has received since it opened in July, 2008.
The Wound Care Center of UH Elyria Medical Center is a member of the Healogics Network of more than 550 centers, which provide access to benchmarking data and proven experience in treating in excess of two million chronic wounds. More than 600 patients from our community received specialized treatment for chronic and non-healing wounds at the Wound Care Center of UH Elyria Medical Center in 2013.
