An excited crowd gathered at the Gardens at Westlake on September 10 for their annual health fair with the focus this year on “The Health Benefits of Wine and Chocolate.”
Nearly 20 health and wellness vendors were on hand, many supplying samples of wine and chocolate which were eagerly sought out by attendees.
Susan Skalba from the Cleveland Clinic opened the event with a talk on the benefits of wine and Kathy Miller from the Visiting Nurse Association spoke about the benefits of chocolate. “We wanted to create some excitement with this health fair and offer information that is not only useful, but also fun.
“What better topics than wine and chocolate?” explained Christina Melaragno, Executive Director of the Gardens at Westlake.
The next community event planned at the Gardens is a Holiday Craft Show on Saturday, November 15.
