Random Act of Violence Leads to North Ridgeville Arrests

On September 12, 2014, officers from the North Ridgeville Police Department, along with the United States Marshal’s Northeast Ohio Violent Fugitive Taskforce arrested three males in connection with the felonious assault and robbery of a 16 year old male on August 9, 2014.  Detectives with the North Ridgeville Police Department were assisted during the course of the investigation by officers from the Lorain County Sheriff’s Department and the Lorain Police Department.  The investigation revealed that this was a random act of violence and the victim had no connection to any of the suspects involved.

The following three males from Lorain were taken into custody:

Derrick Foster-18 year old male, Aggravated Robbery, Felonious Assault, Theft

Donte Dower-18 year old male, Aggravated Robbery, Felonious Assault, Theft

Marcus Kimbrough-18 year old male, Complicity to Aggravated Robbery, Complicity to Felonious Assault, Complicity to Theft

 

All three subjects are being held without bond and will have an initial court appearance on Monday.

A 17 year old male from Lorain will also be referred to Juvenile Court for Felonious Assault in connection with the incident.

 

The victim was reportedly beaten while walking home from the North Ridgeville Corn Festival in August. His injuries were severe enough to consider plastic surgery.
