Several years ago the Westlake Historical Society began placing wreaths on the graves of founding and pioneer citizens of early Dover (now Westlake). “We believe placing a wreath on a grave is not only a symbol of remembrance, it is a sign of respect for that person and who they were,” says Lysa Stanton, President.
“We would like to extend the opportunity for you, your family, organization, group or business to place a Holiday wreath this year in memory of someone buried in Westlake. Volunteers from the Westlake Historical Society will place the wreaths on the graves.”
If you would like to sponsor a wreath, the cost is only $15 each. Please contact Lysa at 440-808-1961, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. They will be placing wreaths throughout the Holiday season at both Evergreen and Maple Ridge cemeteries.
Those wishing to help place wreaths for anyone buried in Westlake, please call.
