Bay Village Police: Night to Remember

When Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Saddler near Wolf on Dec. 21 just before midnight, it was suspected that the male standing in the middle of the street urinating behind the car might have been drinking. Another male was hanging half out of the car in a pile of vomit, and a third male was standing by the car, report Police.  As the officer was speaking with the three 17 year-old males, his suspicions that they had been drinking continued.  They all denied consuming any alcohol.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as result, all three were arrested.  Two were charged with Underage Consumption of Alcohol, and the third juvenile was charged with OVI and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  They will face charges at CCJC.

No Liquor, Just Dope

On 12/21/2014, at 1932 hrs, a motorist called in a possible OVI on Lake Rd. near Dover Center.  Officers located the vehicle and stopped it.  After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and it was determined the driver was not impaired.  During the course of the investigation, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle.  They located marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  The 24 yoa Bay Village resident was cited for the drug violations and sent on his way.  He will face charges at RRMC.

Bumming Butts

On 12/22/2014, at 2038 hrs, the clerk from Speedway called and reported a group of teenagers was asking patrons to purchase cigarettes for them.  Police responded, but were unable to locate the teens.

Turn it Down

On 12/25/2014, at 0356 hrs, a resident in the 200 block of Bradley Rd. called BVPD to report a very loud stereo playing in the neighborhood.   Officers located the source of the music and advised the owner to turn it down.

Theft at the Knickerbocker?

On 12/26/2014, at 1847 hrs, a resident of the Knickerbocker reported $275.00 in gift cards and $50.00 in cash was missing from her apartment.  Police are investigating.
