Westlake High School senior Kartik Dhinakaran is admitted into the Eminence Fellows Program at The Ohio State University Honors & Scholars Center and received the Eminence Scholarship – the most prestigious scholarship offered to undergraduates at OSU.
Eminence Fellows enjoy a unique educational experience, engaging in regular conversational salons with local luminaries and pursuing a rigorous curriculum that values original inquiry.
The Eminence Scholarship is an award of full tuition and covers up to 18 credit hours per semester. It also provides for room and board, a book allowance and miscellaneous expenses. Kartik also will have access to a $3,000 enrichment grant after completing his first year. The Eminence Scholarship is renewable for a total of eight semesters of full-time undergraduate education.
Kartik plans to major in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Business as part of the Integrated Business and Engineering Honors Program. He also is considering a minor in math.
Recipients of the Eminence Scholarship typically rank in the top 3 percent of their graduating classes and have an ACT composite score of 34 or higher or combined SAT Critical Reading and Math score of 1520 or higher.
