Bay Police: $3k Theft from CVS

bay police logo 130121011959_bay-village-police-300x168On 05/10/2015, at 1153 hrs, CVS reported to Bay Village Police that 200 heavy duty plastic totes were stolen from behind the store.  The totes were stolen between 05/08/2015 and 05/10/2015, and are valued at $3,000.00.  Police are investigating.

OVIs

On 05/13/2015, at 0102 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. at the Avon Lake line for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 37 yoa female driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and a result, the Avon Lake resident was arrested for OVI.  She will face charges at RRMC.

On 05/17/2015, at 0011 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Vineland near Lake Rd. for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 24 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and a result the driver was arrested for OVI.  The Cleveland resident will face charges at RRMC.

Failed Scam

On 05/13/2015, at 1739 hrs, a Midland resident received a call from someone who told her that she had won a $100 gift card for visiting stores like “Walmart”, “Target”, and “Best Buy”.  All she needed to do was pay a small deposit before they would send her her winnings.  She realized the call was scam, and did not give them any money.

Backpack Heisted

On 05/15/2015, at 1536 hrs, a Florence resident reported his Galaxy 4 Tablet was stolen from his back pack while he was in Walgreens.  Police are investigating.

Up on the Roof?  

On 05/15/2015, at 1942 hrs, a resident called to report observing a group of juveniles on the roof of St. Raphael’s.  Responding officers located a group playing the playground, but no one on the roof.  They denied any involvement.
