Bay Village’s time-honored tradition of remembering those who died while serving in the country’s armed forces was renewed once again Monday morning with observances at the historic Lakeside Cemetery and also at Cahoon Park.
Scouts honored the tradition of once again decorating grave markers at the cemetery. Among those interred there are veterans from the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Observances then moved to Cahoon Park where American Legion Past Commander Jim Potter emceed and Marc Knipper, Cleveland Probation Officer, served as Memorial Day speaker.
