The Avon Lake Farmers Market opened on June 2. The event featured ten vendors selling produce, fruits, dog treats, honey, maple syrup, pies, and hair accessories. A representative from The Rock Pile spoke about edible plants and offered a discount on the plants he brought. Over two hundred and fifty people attended the market and vendors were satisfied with the community’s engagement. The market will continue to run every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, 32801 Electric Blvd. For more information, visit avonlakefarmersmarket.org.
