The Auxiliary of University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center would like to invite you and your friends to join them on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at Paper Moon Vineyards for a special “Girls’ Night Out.” The evening will feature tastings of five wines selected by Paper Moon, along with heavy appetizers and musical entertainment provided by Mike Moore.
Each year, the Auxiliary hosts a number and variety of events to help generate funds that are used to further the mission and vision of University Hospitals: To Heal. To Teach. To Discover. Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised and distributed within the communities served by UH Elyria Medical Center to purchase medical equipment and provide scholarships for students pursuing degrees in the health care field.
This year’s “Girls’ Night Out” promises to be an evening full of fun, food and music, set within a local, family-owned winery. Paper Moon Vineyards offers a large selection of wines ranging from sweet to dry, and the event will provide an opportunity to taste five of their premium wines. Delicious heavy appetizers, provided by Fligner’s Catering, will accompany the wine tastings. The evening’s activities will be set to the music of Mike Moore, a Northern Ohio entertainer whose love of music was instilled in him at age five by his mother, an accomplished pianist and organist. Throughout his career, Mike has worked with many local musicians and performed in groups such as “The L.A. Band” and “Cornwell & Moore.” For the past 10 years, Mike has been performing in Vermilion during their “Third Thursday” summer music series, and shows no signs of slowing down. Additionally, he can often be found serving as deejay at local wedding receptions as well as playing the organ at St. Mary Church in Elyria, where he is Director of Music.
Tickets for “Girls’ Night Out” are $30 per person, and include five wine tastings, appetizers and entertainment. They can be purchased at the UH Elyria Medical Center Gift Shoppe, located near the main lobby of the hospital. Tickets are advance-purchase only; none will be available at the winery the evening of the event. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Gift Shoppe at UH Elyria Medical Center, 630 E. River Street, Elyria. Cash and all major credit cards will be accepted. No checks please. For those who are unable to purchase tickets in person, please call Lois Koehler at 440-329-7362.
Paper Moon Vineyards is located at 2008 State Road in Vermilion, OH (Route 60, directly off of I-90 West). Plenty of free parking is available.
The Auxiliary of UH Elyria Medical Center looks forward to seeing you on Wednesday, June 17 at “Girls’ Night Out!”
