Burglaries, Break-ins Reported by Bay Police

Break-ins and burglaries are in the news from the Bay Village Police blotter for this week.bay police logo 130121011959_bay-village-police-300x168

On 06/16/2015, at 1726 hrs, a resident in the 25000 block of Lake Rd. called BVPD to report his house had been burglarized.  A list of items that were missing was not yet available.  Police are investigating.

On 06/20/2015, at 0248 hrs, a custodian from Bay High School contacted BVPD to report the school had been vandalized.  Someone had gained entry to the building and damaged some property.

On 06/12/2015, at 2120 hrs, a resident in the 23000 block of Lake Rd. reported her house had been burglarized.  Police are investigating.

IRS Scams

Several residents reported receiving calls from the IRS claiming they owed back taxes.  BVPD reminds residents these calls are scams, and not give out any personal information or pay any money to them.

OVI

On 06/21/2015, at 0020 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Huntington Woods for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the female driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.  The Bay Village resident will face charges at RRMC.

Noisy Neighbors

On 06/21/2015, at 0317 hrs, a Clague Rd. resident called to report a loud group of people at a house just north of Reese Park.  When officers arrived, they located an intoxicated male who admitted he was yelling at passing cars.  He was cited for Disorderly Conduct and sent in his house for the night.
