Bay Police responded to a call of two females fighting at Bay Skate Park on Aug. 10 at 17:43 hours. Officers arrived and found that one of the combatants had already fled the area. After an investigation, officers learned that the female who ran away, a 17 year old Bay Village resident, had attacked a 15 year old Bay Village female after a verbal confrontation. The 17 year old is facing charges at Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.
Passed Out at the Wheel
On 08/09/2015, at 3:38 am, a Bay Village Police officer found a male passed out behind the wheel in the area of Huntmere and Wolf. After speaking with the male, Officers suspected he was under the influence. Field sobriety tests were administered and the driver, a 22 year old North Olmsted resident, was arrested for OVI. He was also cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He will face charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.
15 Year Old Driver Under the Influence
On 08/16/2015, at 3:05 am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Lake Forest near Eaton Way. The officer discovered that the vehicle was being operated by a 15 year old male who was under the influence of alcohol and without a license. His passenger, another 15 year old male, was also under the influence. After officers investigated, they found that the vehicle did not belong to them but to another 15 year old who had fled the area. All three are facing charges in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.
On 08/09/2015, at 12:05am, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Bayview for a traffic violation. After speaking with the male operator , the officer suspected he had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI. The 63 year old Bay Village resident will face charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.
On 08/11/2015, at 11:49pm, a Bay Village Officer stopped a vehicle on Columbia Road for a traffic violation. After speaking with the female operator, a 39 year old, North Olmsted resident, officers suspected she was under the influence. The operator failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. She is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.
