Man Rolls Car in Westlake

WESTLAKE POLICE 108471A 27-year-old North Olmsted man rolled the 2011 Hyundai he was driving on Lansing Dr. at 12:51 AM on Aug. 9, report Westlake Police. He hit a tree and mailbox before the car came to rest on its wheels. The 27-year-old North Olmsted man driving was extricated by Westlake Fire and transported to St. John Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. He faces charges of OVI, Failure to Control, Driving Upon Treelawns Prohibited, Failure to wear seatbelt (driver), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia. He was alone in the car.

On the Hoof

A 43-year-old Lorain man hoofing it along I90 on Aug. 9 at 7:53AM was found to be wanted by the Sandusky post of the Highway Patrol. He was given a ride to points west by the troopers to resolve his criminal justice issues.

Pool Break-in

The pool for an apartment complex on Cedarwood Dr. had the gate damaged on August 8. The  lock was found to have been broken; other tampering with pool equipment has occurred over the summer.


A Center Ridge Rd. building was found to have been spray-painted on the afternoon of Aug. 8. The graffiti was removed the next day by the occupants.
