One of the many services offered by O’Neill Healthcare Bay Village is to provide health education programs to the community. We do this by hosting many events throughout the year, both on our campus and at the local senior centers. This month our Director of Physical Therapy, Kris Maiorca, PT presented a program on achieving positive outcomes from hip and knee replacement. The program was held the Westlake Community Services center, to an audience of over 50 seniors. While enjoying the delicious lunch prepared by the O’Neill Healthcare dining staff, those in attendance were educated about how to prepare for surgery, different surgical methods, what to expect after surgery, and the therapy options available to ensure the best outcome. A very interactive Q & A ended the program. Please contact Donna D’Amico at 440-871-3474 if you are interested in a health education program for your organization.
