Westlake Discount Drug Mart likes to give back to community. That is why store manager Chip Kettler hosts a parking lot party each summer at the corner of Detroit and Dover Center Roads.
Hot dogs, chips, Pepsi and lots of raffle items made it a great day under a big tent as music played and kids romped. Lots of DDM employees stopped by with their kids and families, and customers enjoyed a complimentary picnic lunch as they left the store after shopping.
The event was in support of Stand for the Silent, an anti-bullying campaign started by the parents of a young teen who took his life because of being bullied.
