Mercy Summer 2015 Program Guide-1

These programs are free of charge and open to individuals diagnosed with cancer, their families and loved ones at The Center for Body, Mind & Spirit at Mercy Cancer Center, 41201 Schaden Road, Elyria. Services are available regardless of where patients receive treatment. Mercy Cancer Center is now affiliated with University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center.

The Center for Body, Mind & Spirit has received national recognition for providing innovative, high-quality care for people touched by cancer.

Mercy Cancer Center Health & Wellness Fair

Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Free health screenings include prostate cancer, clinical breast exams, height, weight and nutritional education, cholesterol and vitamin D, balance, blood sugar and blood pressure.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED only for prostate screening and clinical breast exam. Please call 440-324-0488 to register.

Holistic Classes Now Available to Community Members

If you do NOT have a cancer connection, but are interested in learning new tools to help you enhance your health and quality of life, The Center for Body, Mind & Spirit is now offering a limited selection of programs to the general community for a fee.  Payment may be made at the class. Registration required – 440-324-0488.

Introduction to Meditation

Meditation is a simple, effective way to relax and reduce stress through breathing techniques and imagery. This one-hour class will introduce you to the basics of meditation and allow you to experience, firsthand, peace of mind and relief from anxiety. You will be able to take the skills you learn and apply them to reduce stress in your daily life. Materials will be provided. Registration required by calling 440-324-0488. Fee:  $20.
