Kaeli Bush, Abby Golden, Brett Nickolette and Mitch Wargo, 8th graders from Learwood Middle School, are making history. They are part of the talented cast presenting a piece by William Shakespeare for the first time on a TrueNorth Cultural Arts stage. The foursome will be starring in the famous comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. This classic tale is one of Shakespeare’s most celebrated works, and this abridged version is a perfect introduction to the Bard!
These four talented students are no strangers to the spotlight, each having been in a number of productions at TrueNorth as well as other local theaters including; The Beck Center for the Arts, Near West Theater, Lorain Community Music Theater and Olmsted Performing Arts. Most recently they appeared together in the TrueNorth production of “Back to the 80’s, A Totally Awesome Musical”.
When asked why they wanted to be a part of this challenging show Mitch Wargo (Lysander) said “I thought it would be a great introduction to Shakespeare.” Kaeli Bush (Helena) stated “It was something very different from anything I’d ever done.” Abby Golden (Hermia) commented on the progress of the rehearsal process “The cast and crew are fantastic! I can’t believe how far everyone has come!”
