Holiday Gift Idea: Honor Bay Residents with Bronze Plaques
Each Memorial Day, The Bay Village Foundation hosts a well-attended, annual public ceremony in Cahoon Park. The event honors friends and family by the installation of a beautiful bronze plaque. For some families in the past, this was their idea of a perfect gift for a loved one. The personalized text is engraved on a bronze plaque; and, is permanently installed on the T. Richard Martin Footbridge overlooking the lake in Cahoon Memorial Park.
The plaques are installed at the request of family, neighbors and friends for the contribution level of $2,500 or more. The Memorial Day Program is a beautiful outdoor service featuring the String Ensemble of Bay High School and soloist tenor, Troy Ayers II. Mr. Ayers sings the Andrea Bocelli’s piece “Time To Say Goodbye”. Television personality, Jon Loufman serves as emcee for the event.
A bronze plaque can be ordered up to and including March 31, 2016. All contributions to the Bay Village Foundation are distributed to Bay groups following grant requests. The funds are offered for private non-profit non-sectarian projects. Your support makes a significant difference to the many volunteers that serve Bay Village tirelessly.
