Wyoming Seminary of Pennsylvania topped a field of the nation’s finest wrestlers by winning the prestigious 2015 Walsh Ironman at Walsh Jesuit High School last weekend.
Wyoming Seminary claimed its first-ever Ironman title by outscoring perennial power Blair Academy of New Jersey in the team totals by 25 points, 171-146. They are the first Pennsylvania team to capture a title in the storied history of the event.
Ohio powers St. Paris Graham and St. Edward placed third and fifth, respectively, in the 22nd edition of the Ironman.
For Graham, senior 160-pounder Alex Marinelli captured his second straight Ironman title and was named the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler.
St. Edward crowned a champ in 138-pounder Hunter Ladnier, dominating the finals with an 8-1 win over Will Lewan on Montini Catholic of Illinois.
