Avon Lake High School Presents “Pippin”

PippinThe Avon Lake Drama Club brings a Magical Musical Adventure to Avon Lake!

Rehearsals are underway for Avon Lake High School’s version of the 2013 Tony Award Winning musical – “Pippin” running April 14 -17 at the Dr. Daniel B. Ross Performing Arts Center at Avon Lake High School, 175 Avon Belden Road. Experience the musical adventure and unforgettable magical tale of one young man’s journey to find fulfillment and love.

As the story unfolds, a young prince Pippin, son of Charlemagne the Great, explores the glories of war, temptations of love and dangers of politics as he seeks to find meaning and a purpose for his life. His fictional tale is told by a colorful Faustian group of performers and dancers in high-energy, Fosse-inspired choreography led by two mysterious Leading Players. The musical also features a score of memorable songs including “Magic to Do,” “Glory” and “Corner of the Sky” whose lyrics were written by Broadway giant Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked, Children of Eden and Godspell).

Find out whether Pippin chooses an ordinary, simple but happy life or risks everything for a moment of glory. All audiences will enjoy this uplifting story told in a lively, memorable musical spectacle.
