Avon High Honors Valedictorian and Co-Salutatorians

Navi Baskar will be honored as the Avon High School Valedictorian representing the Class of 2016 when graduation exercises take place tonight, May 31, at 7 p.m. at Cleveland State University’s Wolstein Center. Co-Salutatorians are Peter Stamatis and Ben Waters

The Class of 2016 will graduate 269 students

Avon High School Valedictorian – Navi Baskar

College – University of Pittsburgh

Major – Bioengineering

Career goal – to become a cardiologist

High school activities – Student Council, Junior Statesman of America, Varsity tennis, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Stocks Club, Academic Challenge

High school honors – National Merit Finalist, AP Scholar with Distinction, High Honor Roll

Co-Salutatorian – Peter Stamatis

College – The Ohio State University

Major – Engineering

Career goal – to become an industrial engineer

High School activities – Academic Challenge, Key Club, Junior Statesman of America, National Honor Society, Student Council

High school honors – High Honors, AP Scholar with Distinction, Standout Scholar (WEOL Scholastic Games Radio Show), Perfect attendance 2006-2016

Co-Salutatorian – Ben Waters

College – The Ohio State University

Major- Chemical engineering

Career goal – to become a petroleum engineer to help develop the next generation of efficient fuels

High school activities – National Honor Society, Leo Club, Key Club, Academic Challenge, Student Council, football

High school honors – AP Scholar with Distinction, Rotary Club award,
