“The purpose of this initiative is to solicit public cooperation in an attempt to develop information regarding the origin and/or prior ownership of the curtain/blanket. Positive information should be provided to the Bay Village Police Department by calling (440)-871-1234 or Email, bvpd@cityofbayvillage.com,” report Police.

The release also contain photos of the evidence.

“Recent case review and subsequent forensic analysis indicates the curtain and blanket depicted in the following photographs may have been utilized by the perpetrator to wrap/transport Amy’s body. The curtain and blanket were located in close proximity to each other several hundred yards from Amy’s body,” report Police.

At the press conference, Police said current investigative technology positively linked dog hair found on the items to those from the Mihaljevic family pet.

Authorities believe both the blanket and curtain are from the crime scene.

“This lead will solve the case — if you connect this person to this location,” said Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty. “We believe we can solve this case with your help in the media.”
