Bay Master Plan Charts City’s Future

The City of Bay Village hosted a Town Meeting Monday at Dwyer Center where Glen Coyne, Executive Director, Cuyahoga County Planning Commission, presented results of the city’s Master Plan 2016.

About 200 guests were welcomed by Mayor Paul Koomar, Council President Dwight Clark and all city officials.

The presentation reviewed Vision Statement and Actions proposed by the Master Plan. The Plan is based on a public access process that included a city survey, project team, steering committee and public meetings.

The multi-faceted plan is lengthy and can be viewed at www.countyplanning.us/projects/bay-village-master-plan/

You will find comprehensive ideals for streetscapes, dedication to parks, recreation and Lake Erie, diversifying housing options, creating a pedestrian and bicycle friendly community, a vibrant village center, new library and more.

Over the next few weeks, the final Master Plan will be reviewed and adopted through City Council’s standard procedures.
