It was a note(!)-worthy night the evening of April 26 as the good time musical group – the Avon Sing-a-Longs – made their 250th appearance at the newly opened Rose Senior Living in Avon. Guests shared in song, celebration and cake as the good times rolled and voices rose to tunes of popular standards.
Guitarist/Vocalist Lee Holzhauer and Banjo artiste extraordinaire Les Spike helped lead the group as songbooks were passed out to residents as they joined in chorus with favorite standards of the generation. Avon Mayor Bryan Jensen joined in the celebration by recognizing the good cheer the Sing-a-Longs bring to the community.
