The Normandy Chorus Presents ‘Folk Songs and Americana’

The Normandy Senior Living Chorus was in great form on May 11 as the resident vocal group presented a stirring spring concert, ‘Folk Songs and Americana.’

Under the direction of Laura Varcho and accompanied by pianist Gary Ryan, the Chorus presented a selection of songs to reflect the American heritage of our country’s adventurous pioneering spirit. From America the Beautiful to Swanee River, Take Me Out to the Ballgame and You’re a Grand Old Flag, the concert covered many elements of Americana that have become part of the fabric of American life through the years. It was a true celebration of American life!
