Avon’s Safety Fair the morning of June 10 was fun for families, kids and the whole community as visitors to the Avon High grounds had a chance to sit on a fire truck, visit with police, see a SWAT vehicle up close and spend a morning learning about resources that serve the city.
The 3rd annual Fair brought together many elements of both city and county-wide safety, health and wellness resources.
Another highlight was the landing of the Cleveland Clinic critical care helicopter. Inside Avon High, health screenings were offered, joined by tables manned by members of many community organizations like Christian Heritage Church, Lorain County 911, Kids IDs and more. A great day for all involved.
