Also, Chamber of Commerce in Middleburg Heights and Brook Park are asking their members to make donations as well
The goal is to gather the truckload of provisions by Monday, Sept. 11, so the Truck can leave on 9/11… This is indeed Texas’ 9/11 and we want to share the love of God in a practical way!
These items will be distributed by Churches that Church on The Rise is partnering with in the Texas Hurricane Ravaged Communities. Brad Bevington, an independent trucker from the Church on the Rise will be delivering the precious cargo himself!
One of the church members, Josh Betts, has worked for FEMA for years and he is currently in Rockport Texas. Josh said 60-70% of Rockport’s local residents have been displaced from their homes. He gave the church a list of these much needed items! Josh estimated that FEMA will be there for up to one year because of the severe flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey!
Church members from COR and various Cleveland churches will be accompanying the semi-truck going down to Texas on 9/11 and they will be joining up with dozens of volunteers from Texas churches that will be unloading the supplies and helping to do construction projects in the rebuilding of hurricane ravaged Texas! These members are taking time off work to help people they have never met rebuild their lives and communities!
