Two students in Lake Ridge Academy’s senior class have earned national recognition for their outstanding academic achievements.
Anjali Prabhakaran has been named a U.S. Presidential Scholar Program nominee, an opportunity given to only 4,500 students in the United States. Nominees are selected primarily based upon their SAT or ACT score. Last year, Anjali scored a perfect 36 on the ACT. Only 160 students will be named Presidential Scholars later this spring. The program was established in 1964 by Executive Order of the President to honor our Nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Anjali is a resident of Avon, Ohio.
Gabrielle Li was recently named a National AP Scholar, an award granted to students who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. It is the highest AP award a student can earn. Gabrielle has taken 8 AP exams and has scored seven 5’s and one 4.
