The North Coast Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Business of the Year Award presentation took place at Parker’s Grille & Tavern in Avon Lake on Jan. 23.
Trey and Janice Bell of PuroClean Emergency Restoration were presented with the Business of Year Award. They provide 24 hour emergency restoration service in the areas of water damage, fire damage, mold clean up as well as carpet cleaning and more.
Avon Mayor Bryan Jensen surprised Ray Gilles of Ray’s Auto & Truck Service with a special recognition plaque honoring his years of service to the Chamber. Ray & Jeanne Gilles started their family-owned business, Ray’s Auto & Truck Service, from their Avon home in 1979 with son Mike. The Gilles’ success enabled a move to their current state-of-the-art facility on Colorado Avenue in 1988. In 2000, a large truck shop was added to better service commercial fleets and heavy trucks, and an expansion of their truck shop was completed in August 2008.
Mike and Ray Gilles’ combined 50 plus years of hands-on experience, in addition to their skilled employees, has made Ray’s Auto and Truck Service a trusted shop for residential and commercial customers throughout Lorain County and beyond for nearly 30 years.
Chamber members feel fortunate to be an active part of the communities they call home. They proudly represent their businesses in ways that earn the trust of the customers they serve.
