Doing the right thing isn’t always easy, but kudos to the Bay Village parent who intervened in a kid-stuff incident at Martin’s Deli over the weekend.
On 07/27/2017, at 1327 hours, a Bay police officer was dispatched to Martin’s Deli in reference to a theft complaint. The officer spoke to an employee who reported the previous evening, a juvenile had stolen four cans of “tall boy” 24 oz. Twisted Tea alcoholic beverages. The establishment had recorded video surveillance of the incident. The officer saw the recording, which clearly showed the male place the items in his backpack. Information was taken for the report and the officer was going to begin the process of identifying the suspect.
On 07/29/2018, at 2200 hours, a Bay Village resident arrived in the police lobby, accompanied by his 15-year old son. The boy’s mother had seen a Facebook posting seeking the identity of the thief and recognized her son.
