Have you voted in the last election? Have you moved to a new address? If you are not sure about your ability to vote in November, the Westlake/North Olmsted League of Women Voters chapters are making it easy for you to find the answer.
LWV members will be at Westlake Porter Public Library on Tuesday, September 25 from 9 a.m. until 8:45 p.m. and again on Saturday, October 6 from 1:30 until 4:30 p.m. They will also be in the Westlake Recreation Center Lobby on Saturday, September 29, from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. to help you check your voting status.
If citizens find their names are not on the voter rolls, they can fill out registration forms using either a current Ohio drivers’ license or the last four digits of their social security number.
Any registered voter can sign-up on Tuesday, September 25 to request a mail-in ballot for the November election. Citizens can also register to vote and change their registration records at any public library during business hours. But realize that October 9 is the last day for doing this in time to vote in November, 2018.
Another place to register is at the state drivers’ license bureaus. Voters can also register on their own by entering a shortcut – 433 VOTE – in their computer or phone browser to link directly to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
Additional times and places to check registrations are North Olmsted Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library: Thursday, September 27, 7 – 8:45 p.m., Great Northern Mall Dining Court, Saturday, September 29, 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Westlake Recreation Center, Monday, October 1, 5 – 7:30 p.m.
