The annual University Hospitals St. John Medical Center Golf Outing was hosted at Red Tail Golf Course the afternoon of Aug. 20. Funds raised through the generosity of the participants will support important renovations to the Third Floor at UH St. John.
“These spaces are the ‘beating heart”’ of the medical center with a total of 77 rooms and more than 7,000 patient visits last year, “reports UH St. John President Rob David of the medical/surgical wings on the third floor – 3 North and 3 South.
The goal of the renovation will be to modernize the space to ensure comfort and improve the patient experience. The new space will be brighter with better lighting. Modern design elements will enhance aesthetics and promote noise control. Changes in configuration will allow for more space for communication boards and better seating for physicians to be able to sit and talk with their patients. All rooms will be single rooms with more comfortable bathrooms for patients.
The renovations are in keeping with the UH belief that that health care is best provided close to home.
