Avon Lake Band Earns Top Rating at State Marching Band Finals Third Year in a Row

Congratulations to the Avon Lake Marching Band for earning the superior rating at the OMEA State Marching Band Finals! The 116-member band performed their program “Wish Upon A Star” on November 3, 2018, at Brunswick High School, and came away with the highest rating a band can earn at State Marching Band Finals.

The marching band has competed in OMEA Marching Band Adjudicated Performances since 2005. The band qualified for state marching band finals in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.  This is the third year that the band has earned a superior rating.  Prior to that, the band earned an excellent rating in 2014 and 2015.
