Jeff Reilly, COO of UH St. John and UH Elyria Medical Centers went all in for a United Way head-shaving last week. Robin Rowell, VP, Chief Nursing Officer at Elyria did the honors as Jeff joined three other hospital leaders in the cause.
“Please Leave the Ears!”
Those were the unspoken words of three University Hospitals employees as they had their heads shaved last Wednesday to benefit the United Way of Greater Lorain County.
The volunteers were Tom LaMotte, Manager, Rehabilitation Services; Jeff Reilly, Chief Operating Officer; and Chris Pebworth, Facilities Manager.
These three employees have solicited donations from coworkers, family and friends to benefit the United Way of Greater Lorain County.
This is the 6th year that Tom LaMotte has had his head shaved for charity. Tom estimates that he and his colleagues have donated more than $7500 since he began this fundraiser in 2013.
“It’s for a good cause, I am happy to be part of it,” said Jeff Reilly, participating for the first time. Jeff serves as COO of UH St. John in Westlake and UH Elyria Medical Center.
